Bruce Waggis
Age: 6-7 yrs
Weight: 60 lbs
Hey there! My name is Bruce Waggis and I have a question for you - can I be your dog?!? You would never know by looking at my happy pics but 2023 was not a great year for me. I was in the shelter, underweight with a bad skin infection, scared and shut down from the world. But NRGRR saved me and gave me a second chance
Here are some things you should know about me:
I need a family who is dedicated and patient in helping me overcome my fears. I am shy and timid in new surroundings. Just recently my foster family took me to Lowes and I started to feel comfortable to walk and sniff around!
I prefer walking in the woods or trail. I'm also learning to walk in the neighborhood and cars are not as scary anymore.
I'm unsure of new people and learning to trust. The other day my foster family took me to Bond Brother's Brewery and I got to meet a lot of nice people who all had treats for me! Little kids might be too scary for me so only older children or no children homes for me.
I love to eat and love carrots. I get so excited during meal times and will go to my spot and wait patiently for you to bring my food.
I love toys but playing ball is my jam! I prefer this over walking.
I need a fenced-in yard so I can play ball - I'm really good at bringing it back and I’m working on dropping it. I am a great catcher too!
I'm ok with other dogs and currently live with a smaller dog in my foster home but do best with smaller dogs or dogs who are really calm and not up in my face.
I am not a fan of the crate and don't need one; I am trustworthy and don’t chew on things except my toys.
I don't ask for much [except to play ball]. I'm a homebody and love being at home with you. If you want to watch TV I will be content to snuggle on the couch with you.
So what do you think - can I be your BFF? I am ready whenever you are!
