Finnegan

Finnegan is…

*housebroken, the most efficient dog 2 fosters have ever seen with doing his business.

* initially shy and hesitant but quickly warms up to most anyone.

*Probably best to avoid young children, only to keep him calm and safe but older ones who understand his restrictions are fine.

* can chew most anything, so keeping him occupied is part of the fun of finding things to engage him during his recovery

This is what we know he needs:

* to be crated or restrained by a pen or leash due to his pelvic injuries and HW treatment

* a calm environment with someone home most of the time

* a calm resident dog who can be managed to avoid playing with him

* cats are ok!

Foster dogs are looking for a soft place to land and get well, receive training or just relax and decompress from their experiences! As the foster, you have the first chance to adopt them once they are cleared to be posted for adoption. If you are an already approved foster, reach out to the Foster Manager and they will consider you for the dog you are interested in. If you aren’t approved and trained yet, please fill out a Foster Application, linked below. You will be asked for a name and number for vet reference to confirm consistent heartworm prevention purchases, or to get a home check in the case you don’t have a previous/current resident dog (in the last five years).

For more information about becoming a new foster, reach out to foster@nrgrr.org or click on the “Contact us” button below.
