Janie

Age: 2 yr

Weight: 70 lb

Hi, my name is Janie and I’m a gorgeous 2-year- old golden-hearted mix breed who is 70 lbs with lots of love to give! I am not a puppy but I have times of puppy excitement and love to fetch my ball and play while at other times I am content laying near my foster parents, especially while they work at home during the day. When it comes to my personality my foster parents would describe me as very loving towards my humans, appreciate getting affection, smart, loyal, and playful. I love a good tummy rub! My foster parents love my deep bark. I am pretty quiet and only use it to alert you when I see someone new outside. I am happy to entertain myself by chewing on my bones while you work.  I am learning commands like off, and down and I would love a family who will continue working with me to teach me how to be my best self. I am very treat motivated and am a fast learner. I have the big habits down – I am potty trained and crate trained. I’m quiet all night and patiently wait for whenever you get up to take me out. I also do not mind if you occasionally leave me during the day.

I love my walks! My foster parents take me on a few miles walks every day. I’m learning to walk on a leash but do get excited when I see a rabbit or squirrel. My ideal home would be with a family with older children that would feel comfortable with my size. I love to play and get really excited. My foster parents are working with my on my social skills and I hope to find a family willing to continue obedience training with me so that I may be the best family dog ever! I would do best with a fenced in yard as it would be so much fun and play ball, but daily walks will be okay if you don’t have a fence. I would also thrive without any other feline or canine companions as I’d prefer my official title to be “Queen of the House.”

I would love to find my forever family and will quickly settle into your home and family life.
